BOOK REVIEW: The Witches by Roald Dahl

The Witches
by Roald Dahl
“REAL WITCHES dress in ordinary clothes and look very much like ordinary women. They live in ordinary houses and they work in ORDINARY JOBS.”

The boy did not believe his grandmother tales about witches were true until he comes face to face with the Grand High Witch.

I was in the mood of rereading an oldie but a goodie book that was fairly lighthearted and witty. Roald Dahl books do not steered me wrong, especially the Witches, a childhood favorite of mine. It brought different set of feelings reading this book as an adult compared to when I was a child. It still holds a dear spot in my heart.

“It doesn’t matter who you are or what you look like so long as somebody loves you.”
