Childhood Books | Talk Thursday

Video: Childhood Books | Talk Thursday
Happy Thursday everyone! For this Talk Thursday, I am discussing the books I really enjoyed reading when I was a child. These books still bring up fondest memories of when I first came across them.

Royal Wedding by Meg Cabot Review

Royal Wedding, the eleventh book of the Princess Diaries, takes place quite some time after the last time readers had heard about Princess Mia. She graduated college, still the Princess of Genovia, and in love with her long time boyfriend, Michael. A secretive trip to Bahamas turned to a life changing event of Michael proposing to Mia. She said yes, which lead to a whirlwind of events to plan a royal wedding. Aside from wedding preparation, more scandals rock the royal family.

Books I Never Finish Reading

Video: Books I Never Finish Reading

UPDATE @ 11:09 am on 06/13/2015: Happy Saturday everyone! Every once and a while I find myself at my local used bookstore searching for more books to add to my growing library. I happened to browsed a $1 books section to find A Heartbreaking Work of a Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers. Very ironic because it happened to be mentioned in my Books I Never Finish Reading video. I guess I wasn't the only one who lost interest in the book, but unlike them I still have it in my library.

The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins Review

"Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor!" - Effie Trinket in The Hunger GamesThe Hunger Games
Set in a dystopian time where North America have been split into twelve districts with an overpowering Capitol. Every year, two tributes, a boy and a girl, from each district selected to participate in a Hunger Game. A game televised over all over the nation of Panem with tribute fighting each for survival

On selection day for participants in the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen volunteered in place of her sister, Prim, as tribute. Thrown into this cruel game invented by the Capitol, her only goal is to stay alive.

Finishing the TBR catch up I started in May. This time around I placed a limit of how many books I am planing to read because I tend to over stack my TBR pile, and I end up pushing those books into the following month.
