The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski Review

"The Winner's Curse is when you come out on top of the bid, but only by paying a steep price." - Jess For starter, I did not know what I got myself into when I started to read this book that by the time I arrived at the end, it bite and stung me in ways I never thought possible (reference Kestrel's favorite game: Bite and Sting). The story line completely drew me on. Never a dull moment with plot twists that appeared out of nowhere.

Sweet Obsession by J. Daniels Review

While reading the previous books in the Sweet Addiction series, I had wondered if Brooke would ever find her happy ending. Here in Sweet Obsession, love comes in the least likely place, a yoga studio. The author kept the consistency of the story filled with laughter, romance, heat, and a little drama. Similar to her other books, I had fun reading this, but not as much as before. The steamy explicit scenes made me blushed a little more.

Sweet Possession by J. Daniels Review

"You were always meant to be mine. Even before I knew it." - Reese Once I finished reading Sweet Addiction, I immediately indulged myself in the sequel, Sweet Possession. Yes, I got pulled into this series after reading it in one seating and felt attached to these characters, whom I formed connections with over a short span of time. I laughed, swooned, blushed, and teary eyes with the story line.

Sweet Addiction by J. Daniels Review

Oh my goodness, I finished reading this book in one seating and it was so much fun to read. I did not know what I got myself into when I came across this book on Amazon, but I am very glade I gave it a chance. It got me literally laughing out loud in my seat with the occasional swooned moments. Did I forget to mention how Sweet Addiction, got me blushing at all the places that could blush, Please keep in mind that it is a adult contemporary book with plenty to steamy explicit situations.

The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson Review

"It can take years to mold a dream. It takes only a fraction of a second for it to be shattered."  Upon opening the first page of the Kiss of Deception, Lia instantly pulled me onto her journey as she escaped an arranged marriage. Unlike other princesses, who lived a privileged life, she willingly adapt to her surroundings without any ounce of complain. She sassed ignorant headed men, waited tables, and lived life to the fullest. Once she set her heart to something, she does not change it, especially when it comes to love.

But if you're willing to look close enough, no matter how devastating the storm may be, after the rain you'll always find a new life sprouting in the aftermath." - Edith
After the Rain touched my heart in so many ways. Contrary to the author previous works, I never really expected to be swept up into an emotional storm. My heartache for Ava and Nate.

DNF: Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis

The premise for Not a Drop to Dirnk by Mindy McGinnis distinct itself from other dystopian book, where society has a shorten water supply. Although it may seem very fiction, but this idea of water shorten is not make believe at all; it's actually one of the biggest environmental concern. I really wanted to see how the author spin off this problem.

Ugly Love by Coleen Hoover Review

"You're solid, I'm liquid. You part the waters, I'm your wake," (Hoover 109). On a search to find her brother's apartment came to a halt when Tate Collins notices a drunken man, Miles Archer, sitting in front of the door. Reluctantly she had to pull him into the apartment on a request of her brother, Corbin. In the middle of the night, she somehow find herself comforting a crying Miles. Much to her discomfort, he wakes her up early in the morning demanding to know what happened last night. That is how Tate and Miles first met each other; they sure left a lasting first impression on each other, but sparks didn't fly immediately. They did noticed how physically attracted they were to each other, so they came to agree upon a no string attached kind of relationship. Unknowing to them, this little arrangement between them will change their lives.
